Manchester United will battle it out against FC Astana in Thursday Europa league opener and head coach Ole Gunner Solskjaer believes his boys are ready for the challenge.

Speaking after their traing session on Wednesday, Solskjaer said home game win will be important to his side, bearing in mind there are different teams from different leagues participating in the competition.

"In the Europa League you meet different types of teams and cultures. It's important we win our home games, especially with two of our away games on astroturf." said Solskjaer.

He went ahead to praise Marcus Rashford urging football professionals to emulate his zeal in football.

"Many of the youngsters look up to Marcus Rashford, he's a true professional who's trying to improve every day and that's what a Manchester United professional should be." the manager added.

Defender Axel Tuanzebe said his present at the senior team will shape his pathway as he has always wished for since his academy years.

"Staying here this season was the right decision for me. I had glimpses of the first team at United when I was 19, but now I'm 21 there's a clearer pathway of where myself, and the team, want to be," he said.

Axel added that featuring in Europa competition is a bigger opportunity for him and hoped to deliver in tomorrow's competition.

"Tomorrow is a stepping stone towards the bigger goal for me. It's an opportunity for me to express myself so that's why I want to deliver." said Axel.
