Majority of Kenyans took to the social media sites on Thursday, hours after the court of appeal made a ruling on the printing of presidential ballot papers, thanking it for its decision.

The court of appeal judges reversed the decision by the High Court, which was terminating award of printing ballot papers to Al Ghurair company.

The case was filed by the opposition coalition, National Super Alliance over claims that the company had links to President Uhuru Kenyatta.

In its ruling, the court dismissed the fact that only a sixth of the contract was declared invalid yet the rest was valid.

"A sixth of a contract can't be held as invalid and the rest as valid," said the court of appeal Judge.

The court added that "a contract cannot be split, an election is one entity and printing is inseparable."

Sen Mutula KilonzoJR @SenMutul twitted, "Kudos to the Court of Appeal for the swift determination of the ballot row. We must learn to uphold the findings even when we disagree!"

Victor kiplagat @Iamkisegei_kip said "Court of Appeal...courts were meant to be a neutral force...A force that doesn't pick sides and upholds the constitution
