A Nairobi court has dismissed an application by ex-Nairobi Governor Evans Kidero seeking to be enjoined in a case challenging the victory of Governor Mike Sonko.

Through his application filed by lawyer Tom Ojieda, Kidero sought to be enjoined as an interested party on grounds that he participated in the August 8 elections.

Justice Msagha Mbogholi said that Kidero's petition was misconceived and lacked merit.

This sound relief to governor Sonko with only one petitioner-Japheth Moroko left to challenge his victory.
