Deputy president William Ruto has insisted that Raila Odinga is going to lose to Uhuru Kenyatta with a huge margin in the October 17 repeat polls.
Speaking in vihiga on Thursday during a Jubilee rally DP Ruto said that Uhuru will trounce Raila following a shift of some Nasa key leaders to Jubilee in the region.In Vihiga county Uhuru garnered 18, 275 votes while Raila got 179,140 votes which is 90% of the votes cast but DP Ruto said this is going to increase enormously.Former Vihiga governor Moses Akaranga,Josphat Amadi who contested for the seat as an independent candidate and former speaker Kenneth Marende have shifted allegiance to Jubilee and have called support for re-election of president Uhuru Kenyatta.
In his address DP Ruto said that Uhuru defeated Raila with a margin of 1.5 million votes in the August 8 polls and he is going to triple the votes with a margin of over four million votes.The DP said that the low number Jubilee garnered in western Kenya was due to shoddy campaigns they carried out.President Uhuru Kenyatta got 242,388 votes against Raila's 1,186,379 votes in western which DP Ruto said is going to increase with the entrance of the Nasa key leaders.He urged residents to come out in large numbers and vote for president Uhuru Kenyatta in the October 17 repeat polls saying that they stand a chance to benefit from Jubilee government.
