Good News for Samsung, Vivo, Oppo, Huawei users: How to use dual WhatsApp on one phone

Using two WhatsApp Accounts

The future of telecommunication in 2021 is taking a different course, with business owners forced to embrace modern forms of communication, including the new media, in their daily B2C and B2B communication.

A company owner/director with the need to engage customers and other businesses using different contacts has become an emergent trend, especially with WhatsApp communication. I have been wondering how can one keep two WhatsApp Accounts on a single mobile phone, rather than walking with two or more gadgets.

Well, it is possible to have dual WhatsApp on a single gadget, just like many Android phones come with support for dual-SIM card slots.

Dual Apps

I know Android users reading this article have begun to question this analogy, but it's good news if you own a smartphone from companies like Xiaomi, Samsung, Vivo, Oppo, Huawei, and Honor.

According to Gadgets Now, these companies offer 'Dual Apps' or 'Dual Mode' feature (whose name differs depending on the brand), allowing users to run two different accounts of the same chat app.

For instance, to get the feature on your phone (Samsung, Xiaom, Oppo, Vivo, Asus, Huawei, and Honor), here is how to locate the feature (name).

Samsung: Dual Messenger

Settings > Advance features > Dual Messenger

Xiaom (MIUI): Dual apps

Settings > Dual Apps

Oppo: Clone Apps

Settings > Clone Apps

Vivo: App clone

Settings > App clone

Asus: Twin apps

Settings > Twin apps

Huawei and Honor: App Twin

Settings> App Twin

How to set up the feature

Open the dual apps settings option on your smartphone.

Select the app you want to duplicate (in this case select WhatsApp).

Wait for the process to finish.

Now, head to the home screen and tap on the second WhatsApp logo you see in your app launcher.

Configure using another phone number and get going.

Google Play Store

For android phones that do not come with this feature, google play store has a solution –offering several apps such as Parallel, Dual App Wizard, DoubleApp, and more, which a user can download and follow the same procedure to launch the dual WhatsApp Accounts for easier communication –without necessarily having to carry two phones.
