Wales Football Association (FAW) has been forced to call off a press conference scheduled for Tuesday, following allegation levelled against national team manager Ryan Giggs.

The presser was scheduled to deliberate on the state of the team, as Ryan name his squad ahead of international matches.

Meanwhile, Ryan Giggs denied the allegation of assaulting his girlfriend, after he was arrested.

"We are aware of an alleged incident involving the men's national team manager Ryan Giggs," said FAW.

According to BBC sports, his representatives said Giggs denies all allegations of assault made against him and is cooperating with the police.

They quote a report showing a Manchester Police statement which stated that a 46-year-old man was arrested and questioned on suspicion of actual bodily harm and assault involving a woman in her thirties, who sustained minor injuries that did not require any treatment.

The report further says the man has been released on bail pending further inquiries.
