Workers will gain much if the opposition National Super Alliance takes over power in the August 8 election.

This comes even after workers unions and NASA signed a memorandum of understanding, which saw civil servants reap much if the coalition wins the election.

They will benefit from a number of things outlined in the memorandum, which included, the retirement age being pushed to 65 years.

The unions will also align its members to tax exemption requirements of the Retirement Benefits Act.

The lowest paid civil servant will take home a minimum Sh30,192.

The agreement was signed between Trade Union Congress of Kenya (TUC-K) and National Super Alliance (NASA). 

TUC-K brings together Kenya National Union of Teachers (Knut), University Academic Staff Union (UASU), Union of Kenya Civil Servants (UKCS), Kenya University Academic Staff Union (Kusu) and the dockworkers union.
