Wiper party has been hit following the Independent Electoral and Bounderies Commission (IEBC) decision to stop Wavinya Ndeti from Machakos County gubernatorial race.
Ndeti was was barred after the IEBC's invetigations found that her nomination was irregular.The electoral body claimed that the candidate (Ndeti) is registered with two parties, making her nomination null and against the condtitution.A petition filed to challenge her eligibility stated that, Ndeti is still a member of Chama Cha Uzalendo (CCU) and is, therefore, not eligible to be on the ballot as this contravenes the law and the Constitution.
