Kandara MP Alice Wahome has cleared the air over her arrest reports.

Speaking in a local television on Moday, Wahome said she is not arrested but there could be plans for her arrest.

“I think there is a plan to arrest me…” said Wahome.

The MP faulted interior PS Karanja Kibicho and CS Fred Matiang’i for failing at their work.

“I think CS Matiang'i and Kibicho are either idle or don't know their work,” said the MP.

This comes a week after the MP made remarks that have ensued mixed reactions from politicians drawn from Tanga Tanga and Kieleweke factions.

Ms Wahome claimed that President Uhuru Kenyatta wants to ride on the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) proposals to cling on power after the end of his term in 2022.

The MP further claims that Uhuru was a threat to Kenya’s democracy, freedom of expression and economy adding that he inherited a rich democracy from former President Kibaki but has failed to maintain socio-economic and political stability.

Several politicians have faulted her, some praising her for standing for firm to represent ‘Wanjiku’, a move that has resulted to fresh row over 2022 politics.
