Real Estate: Myspace Properties Limited excels in the top 100 companies awards

Real Estate and Property firm Myspace has emerged among the best 100 companies in the 2019 KMPG’s list.

This being the second time the company is participating in the study, Myspace was ranked number 14 in the prestigious list, recording improvement from number 41 in the 2018 ranking.

The Mombasa based firm trounced hundreds of companies that had entered the competition, ranking top in the Real Estate company category.

The Top 100 survey is an initiative of KPMG and Nation Media Group that seeks to identify Kenya’s fastest growing medium-sized companies in order to showcase business excellence and highlight some of the country’s most successful entrepreneurship stories.

Myspace Properties develops and manages Property as well as property Agency and project management.

The company has grown tremendously in the last 5 years. It was started in 2008 in Coastal capital before expanding to other regions.

In 2017, the company ranked runners up in the best business leader of the year awards.

Myspace Properties (Kenya) Limited Chief Executive Officer Mwenda Thuranira said, “outstanding growth can be attributed to a focus on sustainable development and coming up with tailor made solutions. We are focused on coming up with affordable solutions for future generations. We are concerned with building premium brands and creating innovative modern urban spaces that rationally embrace local solutions based on international standards.”

He added that, “Credit in achieving this award goes to the support and dedication of our suppliers, clients, staff and other stakeholders that have contributed to the company to record this improvement in span of one year. On behalf of the management, I want to say a big thank you to our property agents who go out of their way as they interact with property owners and buyers on a daily basis, successfully closing sales across all cycles of the property,”

Mr. Morris Kinoti, the Company Property Consultant said, “We are grateful to have received this midsized companies honor on the back of our recent successes this year. This year has come up with various fortunes especially after we were incubated at the Nairobi Securities exchange Ibuka programme.”

Asked why they recorded such a big improvement within just one year, Mr. Kinoti explained that the firm has a dynamic and collaborative professional practice something that has made them recognized by KPGM.

He said that their team's focus is on the successful delivery of construction projects to the client's requirements. This is based on the client’s budget and timelines.

According to the statement sent to newsroom, the company said that this recognition motivates them to come up with more solutions and seek progressive partnerships that will enable them actively participate in providing solutions for the Government’s big Four agenda especially in the affordable housing pillar and open investment opportunities for everyone including ‘Wanjiku” (the common man and low income citizens).

Trueblaq was crowned the overall winner followed by Vehicle and Equipment sales and rental firm, Quipbank Trust Limited, whereas transport firm Rural Distributors Enterprises came third.

Other firms that were named in top 10 included; Orange Pharma Limited, Professional Digital Systems, ASA Limited, Kurrent Technologies, Dakawou Transport Limited, Spic N Span Cleaning Services and Questworks Limited.
