Kenya Sevens have beat Australia 12-7 in the ongoing Cape
Town Sevens at Cape Town Stadium, South Africa.
This is the second win in row, since the competition kicked
off on Friday, with a 24-19 win against Samoa.
Onyala, Alvin Otieno, and Daniel Taabu booth scored their
tries keeping Kenya on lead against Australia.
The Friday win saw Kenya scoring four tries to beat Samoa
24-19 in their opening Pool “D” battle at Cape Town Sevens.
Dan Sikuta, Alvin Otieno, Daniel Taabu and Billy “The
Kid” Odhiambo touched down a try each as Kenya led 17-7 at the break to
dismantle Samoa.
Kenya now remains with one match against Ireland in pool D,
which will kick off at 5:47 pm EAT.
Shujaa are currently 13 place overall on the standings after
collecting 4 points at the opening round of the series, played in Dubai, United
Arab Emirates from 5th to 7th December 2019.
However, if they maintain the winning streak against
Ireland, they are likely to move at top place in the standing table.
